I sold this guitar in early June, made the shipment, and all was good. The shipment got lost or misplaced, and the shipping company couldn’t locate it anywhere. Most likely the shipping label had come off (my bad) or it got damaged. Felt strange to me how they could’ve misplaced an item that’s basically the size of a refrigerator; for a moment I thought that a shipping company worker had managed to steal it.

My guess is that the new material (Penn Elcom ‘FLight Panels’ – Polypropylene) on the case doesn’t stick nearly as well to the shipping labels as the previous material (phenolic coated plywood), and the label had come off too easily.

After confirming with the shipping company that it had actually been lost, I got insurance claim on the value and reimbursed my customer. Silver lining on a a mushroom cloud and all that.

This was during July, four months ago.

A few weeks ago I got a message from the shipping company that they had found the guitar, all intact and undamaged (apart from few scratches on the case, I can get more photos if asked). They sent it back to me from the US, and now I have it here. Again. For sale. Again.

It’s all undamaged and unaffected from the journey it went through, all ready to rock (and metal) at a moment’s notice.
